TPFF 2018: AMP Capital Presents Opening Night, AJE and more

September 5, 2018

AMP Capital is once again growing its partnership with the Telstra Perth Fashion Festival (TPFF) in 2018 and will be the Principal Presenting Partner in the Festival’s 20th year, including Opening Night, the AJE standalone runway and more.

The Opening Night line-up, facilitated by AMP Capital, includes the very best in established Australian design talent, from the intelligent sensuality of Dion Lee, to the cosmic disco vibe of Romance Was Born, the modern elegance of Scanlan Theodore and the contemporary versatility of Viktoria & Woods.

Perth’s own Morrison, known for effortless tailoring, and One Fell Swoop, revered for fluid drapery, round out the list of showstoppers, ensuring a night to remember for TPFF’s 20th anniversary year.

Flying into WA for Opening Night will be fashion identity Lindy Klim, who will wear her favourite Australian labels to many of TPFF’s ticketed runway events throughout the week.

Telstra Perth Fashion Festival Director Mariella Harvey-Hanrahan said the Opening Night line-up was a testament to the strength of the Australian fashion industry.

“This is a showcase that puts fierce Australian fashion in the spotlight,” Ms Harvey-Hanrahan said.

“I am thrilled to see so many design powerhouses come together to officially open this year’s Fashion Paramount – and TPFF’s milestone 20th year.

“Australia is truly helping shape global style trends thanks to these boundary-pushing designers, and together they will make this one of the most spectacular Opening Nights we have ever seen.

“Included in the mix are two Festival favourites hailing from WA – Morrison and One Fell Swoop – who more than deserve their names in lights alongside Dion Lee, Romance Was Born, Scanlan Theodore and Viktoria & Woods.”

AMP Capital Shopping Centre’s Managing Director, Mark Kirkland, said AMP Capital is an avid supporter of the Australian fashion industry and is thrilled to bring these outstanding Australian designers to Perth as well as supporting local Western Australian talent.

“AMP Capital, in partnership with our premium WA shopping centres Garden City and Karrinyup, is committed to nurturing and advocating emerging and established designers and is proud to continue to play a role in shaping the future of fashion in WA and around Australia.”

Opening Night is on Monday, September 10 at 7 pm at Perth Optus Stadium.

AMP Capital will also be presenting the Fashion Council of WA Industry Forum and AJE Standalone Runway on Tuesday, September 11. AMP Capital also supports local Western Australian fashion incubator HATCH, currently located at Garden City Shopping Centre, and will bring Romance Was Born stars Anna Plunkett and Luke Sales to HATCH Garden City for an exclusive book signing event on Monday, September 10 at 1 pm.
